2. JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Programmes Officer
Based: The Wheel office is based in Dublin 2. The Wheel is a hybrid, remote first, work environment, with a blend of remote and in-person work
Reporting to: Social Economy Programmes Manager
Overall Purpose:
This role will provide support to the team responsible for delivering projects at The Wheel, including a wide variety of EU and national funding programmes on various topics related to the charity, community and social enterprise sector.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Project management support to ensure the successful implementation, delivery and sustainability of The Wheel’s EU and nationally funded projects. This includes:
Coordination of meetings, events and other activities in line with project requirements
Working with subject matter experts to coordinate the development of project resources and other outputs (e.g. training materials, publications, focus groups, etc.)
Liaising with external stakeholders, including project partners and funders, to coordinate activities and communicate progress and impact
Developing content relevant to projects supported, e.g. dissemination content, info sheets, website content, etc.
Participating in events and meetings relevant to projects, including presenting on projects.
Tracking project impact against KPIs, which includes maintaining accurate records and evidence, and completing funder and dissemination reports
Administrative duties as required, including maintenance of contact lists and project files, updating the CRM system, minute taking, booking travel, proofreading, answering queries, etc.
International travel as needed to represent The Wheel and our projects at meetings and events

3. PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential criteria
At least three years relevant experience in an administration/project coordination role
Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and a focus on quality
Ability to balance competing deadlines and demands
Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence to address a group
Ability to build sustainable relationships with key individuals inside and outside of the organisation.
Highly motivated and enthusiastic team player, happy to share learning and collaborate while able to work on own initiative.
Practical experience and understanding of working with standard office-based software and office equipment
Desirable criteria
Experience with EU projects
Knowledge of the non-profit sector in Ireland
Experience of facilitation, training or event management
Experience of using website updating software, bulk email, CRM (Salesforce) and social media platforms

Successfully shortlisted applicants will be provided with the Behavioural Competency Framework prior to interview. This will form the basis of the interview.
4. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
In accordance with the terms of the funding for these roles from the contracting authority this contract will be offered for one year with the option to extend for a further two years
The annual gross salary for this role is between €33,880 and €36,000, depending on the knowledge and experience of the person who occupies it, and will be decided accordingly. This contract is for a 36-hour week and salary is payable monthly in arrears.
Room to grow within the role: while The Wheel does not operate salary scales, the salary band for Officer level within The Wheel reaches a maximum of €45,837, subject to service
